Remixing the human

in healthcare

How the hell did we get here?

Somehow, in the process of trying to care for more and more people, we started to care about individuals less and less. Our doctors and nurses became cogs in a machine. Patients became consumers. The Digital Revolution came to champion the cause of the billing codes - and what we gained in data collection, we lost in trust. There is a sickness in the heart of industrial healthcare. We don’t know the course of treatment, but it can’t be more of what we do today. Something’s gotta give, and it can’t be our dignity.
